School tells bullying victim to stay at home

Last Thursday we spoke to 14-year-old Brendon Moore - he's small for his age, wears glasses and has a stutter.

Brendon doesn't have a problem with any of that - his problem is schoolyard bullies.

An incident nine days ago involving a boy a foot taller and almost two years older left him injured and off school for a week.

But yesterday he was well enough to return - that was until the school told him not to bother.

It says it couldn't guarantee his safety and advised Brendon to stay home. So while Brendon the bullied stays home, the bully gets to stay at school.

We talk to Brendon and Education Minister Anne Tolley.

Watch the video for the full story.
