An assault against a 15-year-old boy at Pukekohe High School south of Auckland has been described as a joke gone too far.

The teenager was attacked by three boys who found out he was moving to a different school.

According to the NZ Herald the boy was violated with a vehicle part and told; “If you’re going to King’s [College] you deserve this sort of thing” and “This is what you will get in boarding school”.

A spokesperson for Kings College contacted 3 News this afternoon to say the boy involved has never applied to attend Kings College. Pukekohe Headmaster Ian McKinnon also said he had not mentioned Kings College to the media.

The victim has not returned to school since the incident.

The boys who committed the attack have since being stood down by the board of trustees.

Chairperson Angela Clark says it was an unfortunate incident:

“It is what I would describe as a schoolboy prank that has gone too far. Regardless of that it did need to be dealt with, it became a serious incident in the course of the event and we have dealt with it accordingly.”

Ms Clark says they will be working closely with the boys’ families to find them new schools.

The three boys who did this should be charged with sexual violation not just get suspended! They are 15 years old and knew exactly what they were doing. How could it be said that it was a prank gone too far! Could any rapist get off saying that! If this is what these boys are capable of doing now then by letting them off with a 'slap on the knuckles' then what is to stop them doing the same when they are older. If they are capable of doing this now then they are capable of doing other serious crime in a few more years.

So why are the police not involved. And to call a sexual assault a joke gone to far no wonder this school is in trouble.

Look at another story about Melissa who slap the girl who punched her daughter, then got arrested. Where are the parents of this boy?. Those who did the offending should be charged and/or put through the adults court for what they did. Be nice if the same thing or something similar happened to them, and if it was the victim who gets to chose the punishment. Suspended from school whoop dee do. "Unfornunate iccident" that women Angela Clark is a fn waste of space, she should be sacked for that comment. That is far worse than the monthly sickness comment that got that guy sacked from his job.

A prank gone to far, I fail to see how violating someone with a car part can even start off as a prank. This is sexual violation PERIOD and needs to be dealt with accordingly. Prison time for those involved comes to mind.
