In an ideal world, enough people would "give a damn" that ALL of the disadvantaged kids would be helped in a similar way and within a short time we could maybe see huge changes in crime stats etc. But if course this could never happen becuase most of the people who could help, ie the rich and the politicians DONT actually give a damn.
