Wellington loose forward Ardie Savea joins older brother and All Blacks winger Julian in the Super Rugby ranks next season, after signing a two-year deal with the Hurricanes.
Just one year out of college, Savea only turns 19 on Sunday but has been a stand-out performer this season in his first ITM Cup campaign, scoring six tries in eight appearances for Wellington.
Coach Mark Hammett says Savea, who made his New Zealand sevens debut last year, is a valuable addition to the Hurricanes line-up.
"Ardie is skilful player - he has great potential and we look forward to working with him to help develop his 15s career."
