A second man arrested after a body was found in a Rotorua park will appear in court today charged with murder.
The 20-year-old was arrested on Thursday afternoon over the death of Polish man Roman Skorek, 64, whose body was discovered by passers-by in Kuirau Park early on Tuesday.
His arrest followed that of Rotorua baker Rawiri James Samuel, 21, on Wednesday.
Samuel appeared in Rotorua District Court on Thursday charged with murder.
He did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to reappear on February 16.
Two boys, aged 14 and 15, appeared in the Rotorua Youth Court on Thursday, charged with assaulting Mr Skorek.
Community magistrate Lesley Jensen made an order prohibiting media from attending their court appearance.
Bay of Plenty Detective Inspector Mark Loper says it is likely more charges will be laid.
Police raided three Rotorua homes on Thursday morning, and seized evidence, including items allegedly belonging to Mr Skorek.
