Happy Feet had his second swim today, but had to be pushed in

By Lloyd Burr

The second round of cold temperatures meant that Happy Feet could have his second swim today in a pool next to his enclosure.

The door from his enclosure to the pool was left open for several hours so Happy Feet could swim when he felt like it but he wanted to stay put.

So Wellington Zoo staff gave him a little encouragement an in he went.

Wellington Zoo vet Micah Jensen says “the reason we are pushing him in is because we want to make sure his water-proofing is good and he gets a chance to swim before he goes out into the wild”.
