Well - wow - almost.
Yes - sound - especially "spacial background surround" - is extremely crucial - to any movie - but also to other audio such as for the "sound track' on such as this "video clip" (discussing - of all things - background surround) - SADLY though - this CLIP - is in "virtual mono".
Yes - it is almost DEAD PAN FLAT - with negligible ambience.
How do ?I? know - um gee - could it be - THAT it's because I listen - to ALL - in wide_mode - analogue surround...
Same as you do - with two ears - standing upon that desert land.
Imagine - cutting an ear "off - & listening to the desert sounds - with just ONE EAR?
that is what I HEARD - listening to "this".
Thus - ambience effects - were sadly "lacking - as ONLY about 2% of audio - was generating in the "true back channel - of my 10.4x Ch analogue system - With which I use - as I listen to "EVERYTHING".

But - The intro - Welcome to Three news - WOW - that had FULL 360deg "Spacial" surround effects - pity that - the art of location sound recording "clip" didn't.
