Helen babe has not long returned to the UN, i wonder if she left riding instructions on her departure. She seems to remain like a big dark cloud in the sky always threatening.

David Shearer needs to give his PR person a raise! Within 20 seconds of the interview starting he has: 1) Made himself seem in touch with youth by liking Foo Fighters and going to the concert 2) Made it clear that he is a family man and that family is important to him by taking his son to the concert 3) Showed that he keeps his promises (he had promised to take his son to the concert) and 4) Is just one of the ordinary people by standing in the rain with everybody else.

Great stuff! At last Labour becomes interesting. Helen will be furious the the door has firmly closed on any opportunity for her to return to NZ politics to save Labour from obscurity. Roll on Shearer!
