Charlie Sheen says watching the new series of Two and a Half Men show was “odd, but cool”.

The actor was fired from his role on the popular TV show earlier this year, after he fell out with producer Chuck Lorre and sparked concern with his controversial private life.

Ashton Kutcher has now joined the series as internet billionaire Walden Schmidt, but Charlie insists there are no hard feelings and expects Ashton to do very well in the coveted role.

Charlie previously promised he’d be watching the first episode in the new season where a funeral was held for his character Charlie Harper. He took to his Twitter page last night to give his reaction on the first episode of the new series.

“Surrounded by friends and watching the premier of Two and a Half Men. Odd... But cool..! So far a lot of laughs!! Nice... (sic),” he Tweeted.

Charlie turned the night into a party. The 46-year-old star was thrilled to be surrounded by his friends during the poignant evening.

“Watching my funeral as my party gets rolling! Thank you @bucadibeppo for the great food!! Loving this night! (sic),” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Ashton took to his Twitter page ahead of the show to thanks fans for their support. The 33-year-old actor was anxious to find out how his performance was going to be received.

“I would like 2 thank every1 around the internets 4 your support & encouragement around the reboot of 2.5 Men. Hope U enjoy the show 2night! (sic),” he said.
