Storming onto the big screen is local rock documentary Shihad: Beautiful Machine.
There is no question these local rockers are a big part of our rich tapestry of musical history, and this film rather beautifully illustrates their story from the very beginning, through their push into Australia, their fateful foray into the US and coming of age in their homeland.
There are some really emotional moments in this film, and the Shihad story is so worthy of the telling. Director Sam Peacocke does a great job of telling it.
Its a great watch, and not just for the fans.
Four stars.
