Photo bloggers the Shutter Pirates have been getting a lot of mail lately after they sent out an international request for photos of any kind.

Packages from as far as Brazil started appearing on their door step and the images were displayed in Auckland's Newmarket tonight.

“It’s just about allowing everyday people to exhibit their photos that they're really proud of and really into – that’s a big thing for us,” says Shutter Pirate Joe Dowling.

The photo exhibition Paper Pirates is the brainchild of bloggers Mr Dowling and Tim Lambourne, they asked for photos on their blog theshutterpirates.com and the images came flooding in.

“It’s Christmas morning, it’s ridiculous, it’s so much fun,” says Mr Lambourne. “Tubes and tubes and tubes arrived for about a month and it's so much fun, you're just opening them up, checking them out.”

Among the international work are Kiwi images as well.

“I’ve got 10 photographs in the show here today, they are from an event I went to this year in August called Burning Man,” says photographer Emma Wright,

And for visitors who find they like one image in particular, they have the chance to pluck it from the wall and take it home.
