Sneaky Peek

Thu, 24 Dec 2009 8:16a.m.

Well it’s Christmas Eve, and I'm officially signing off for the year! I will be back after the 11th of January – just under THREE weeks out from the big day!

But before then, I thought you might like a wee sneaky peek at some of the wedding bits and pieces that we've purchased, that are all currently sitting in our designated 'wedding corner' way out of reach of sticky little fingers!

First up is my necklace, and the necklace my bridesmaids will wear.

While its a bit hard to tell from the photo, mine is a pure white floating pearl necklace, and the bridesmaid's have a similar style but the pearls have a slight green tinge and some funky green beads in there too. These were a total bargain, $70 all up for the three! Now to find matching earrings...

Below that is the picture I took to the hairdresser for my hair trial.

I really loved the braid, I thought it looked a bit soft and romantic – exactly the look I was going for! The hairdresser recreated the look just how I had hoped, and I test drove it at my recent work function. Despite having what felt like a hundred bobby pins in there, not a single one caused me a headache, and the style was actually really easy to take out at the end of the night. Ticks all the boxes for me!

The 'Love' ornament will sit on the bridal table at the reception. It was a complete impulse purchase at the Farmers sale last week (50% off)!

All the boys will wear the green ties, and we'll be picking up a bit of the pink stripe in our flowers and the yummy wedding cake.

Hopefully they can wear them again too!

And lastly, my shoes. Oh how I love my shoes! The little diamante ankle strap that ties with a pretty ribbon at the back, the little heel that is just the perfect height for me, the way they fit so comfortably... Shoe heaven!

Oh and just quickly, the super speedy dressmaker made the alterations to my dress over the weekend, and I had a final fitting on Monday.

Looking good! Now I just have to stay away from all the naughty Christmas treats so that it still fits come 30 January.

Merry Christmas!
