Rap superstar Snoop Dogg celebrated his 20th anniversary in the music industry on Sunday by performing his classic album Doggystyle in its entirety at the Catalpa festival in New York.

The hip-hop veteran delighted fans at the inaugural two-day event as he took the stage on Randall's Island and reunited with Tha Dogg Pound stars Daz Dillinger and Kurupt and female rapper The Lady of Rage to run through his iconic debut disc.

They kicked off the 90-minute set with ‘Gin and Juice’ and went on to play tracks including ‘Murder Was the Case’, ‘What's My Name?’ and ‘Doggy Dogg World’, complete with classic interludes. The stars also revisited a song from Dr. Dre's The Chronic album, ‘Stranded on Death Row’, performing it live for the first time in years.

Snoop later treated the crowd to more recent releases, including hit single ‘Drop It Like It's Hot’, and led the audience in a sing-a-long to his Wiz Khalifa collaboration ‘Young, Wild & Free’ during the finale.

The rapper's headlining set drew the first ever Catalpa festival to a close following a day of performances from artists like Girl Talk, Matisyahu, Matt + Kim and the Cold War Kids.

Saturday's line-up included TV on the Radio, Umphrey's McGee, Felix Da Housecat and headliners The Black Keys.
