Auckland swimmer Glenn Snyders has missed a spot in the 200m breaststroke final at the London Olympics.

Snyders finished seventh in his semi-final in a time of 2 minutes 11.14 seconds to be 14th overall.

In his morning heat he shaved 0.30 seconds off his New Zealand record to post 2:10.55 to qualify 10th fastest.

Lauren Boyle, in the women's 400m freestyle, remains the only New Zealander to make an Olympic swimming final so far in London.
