And the government gives another ten million bucks without a blink.......and the mens sexual abuse clinic, and the foodbanks are closing because of lack of funds. This country is warped.

Team NZ is absolutely fantastic. They are the only team in whole world to earn the right to race for the cup.In spite of the dissapointments they still shone thru, which is more than can be said for the swissie snub at race end.Shocking sportsmanship but is showing true colours.Thought Dennis Connor was bad, nothing on this turkey.

I know sports and economy don't mix, but in this case it does to a point where the country's economy is at the hands of Brad Butterworth and his gang. They are national traitors. They should relinguish their NZ citizenship. Their selfishness is abhorrent to say the least.

What traitors Matt? Do you think that all the non kiwi's involved with Team NZ should of gone by your mind frame and not helped Team NZ? It's time people get passed this little bit of hatred towards anyone who strives for the top of their career, which is all these other people did, and you would too if you were near the end of your career and wanted a nice nest egg. These people you expose your hatred to brought the cup to NZ, they did their nation well, frankly I think alinghi did NZ proud. It doesn't matter which country won the cup, it was won by kiwi's.

It was a disappointing result but there are other races...I have never been so excited and so interested in the Americas Cup ever until now. Team NZ put on a good show, at lease we can say we made it to the Finals and we were the top two. Ag

I reckon they should. It a great way to show case NZ for our tourism/exports. But of course there will always be those who say the Govt should do nothing until it directly affects them. Well done Team NZ you gave them a good run for there money and next time I'm sure the cup will be coming back home

TEAM NEW ZEALAND!!! You guys rock!!!! Be proud as we all are. Heart and soul is what makes you such a good team, keep that and next time they better look out!!!!The Govt should back you all the way again, they have certainly had their money's worth this time. Great investment I reckon. Well worth the lack of sleep too.

Well done Team NZ, you have truly shown the world what true sportsman are. You have made your country proud of you, and we all look forward to next time. Congrats Alinghi on your win.
