The producers of The Social Network are set to reunite for the film adaption of the best-selling "mommy porn" trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey.

Universal Pictures and Focus Features have announced in a joint statement that Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will reteam for the adaptation of the best-selling novels by E. L. James.

The multimillion-selling books tell the story of an unworldly college student engaging in an unusual romantic relationship with a wealthy young businessman. The erotic trilogy has been called "mommy-porn" and "clit-lit" for their graphic sexual content and large female following.

James has been the world's hottest writer for months. Vintage Books says since the spring her erotic Fifty Shades trilogy has sold nearly 20 million copies in the US alone.

While James writes about sex, her husband has a thriller for young adults coming out in the US this autumn.

Random House Inc imprint Delacorte Press has announced it will release Niall Leonard's Crusher on September 11. Last month, Leonard reached an agreement with Random House in the UK to publish his book in England, also on September 11.

Leonard is a TV screenwriter whose credits include Wire in the Blood. His novel is the first of three planned books. It tells of a teen dropout seeking his father's killer.
