Why the hell did John Campbell not ask Lance Dixon the penultimate question - "What about the two garages?" The other issues in the show essentially have been sorted the garages are more of the same still going on & if asked the question Lance would have had to explain why it is still going on & people like me are STILL frustrated!!! John seems to be losing his teeth.

This is only the tip of an iceberg as there are a huge number of issues identified but yet to be addressed such as damaged chimneys in a wide area of the district. They are only allowed to be demolished by certain people and getting those people is a nightmare. I have personally seen commercial buildings where the outside of the building has moved away from the inner part by a foot or so yet that was claimed not to be earthquake related when before the quake it was perfectly fine. A lot of people are having problems still getting there properties fixed following the earthquake as there are very few tradespersons available to carryout the work or even come into the area to help. Its strange that people are happy to help when it is overseas but not when it is in your own back yard.

If this is an indication as to how New Zealand helps its own I don't hold out much hope for those in other major regional centre or our so called main centres.

It says a lot for the people here who have put up with this for so long and kept going plus helping others overseas when issues have arisen there but not a lot for the rest of New Zealand.
