Sonny Bill Williams may have made the vast majority of his money overseas, but when it comes to his boxing career he’s supporting local musicians.

The rugby player cum boxer walked out to a new track by New Zealand rapper PNC, real name Sam Hansen, before his first-round thumping of Charles Tillman III last night.

“Ringside status. Check SBW's intro music.” PNC tweeted before the bout, giving his fans a heads-up as to what was coming.

The rapper who hails from Palmerston North launched himself into the NZ music consciousness with 2006 single ‘Just Roll’ – a track which is almost entirely made out of song lyrics from the 1990s – but dropped a verse over Drake’s track ‘My Motto’ exclusively for SBW.

He has released the full track on his Soundcloud for free download. (Warning: explicit lyrics)
