Paralympic swimmer Sophie Pascoe has won yet another gold medal at the London 2012 Paralympics.

The Kiwi headed off France’s Elodie Lorandi and Canada’s Summer Ashley Mortimer in the pool this morning, setting a new Paralympic record in the women’s 100m Freestyle S10 event in a time of 1.00.89s, just outside the world record of 1.00.37.

It’s Pascoe’s fifth medal of the Games – three gold and two silver.

awesome stuff Sophie, you should be a definite pick for the halberg award. well done.
It's a pity the television coverage has been so poor, sky should be ashamed of themselves, with 8 channels for the regular Olympics plus prime tv channel and only a highlights show for the paralympics . its disgraceful. other countries have the full network feed .

anyway excellent job Sophie and not so excellent job sky tv
