Brooke might be a sleaze but most people can relate to the scenario though can't they? Went out looking for a good time, drank way to much that no one forced you to do, woke up having sex with someone other than your target! It's happened to me several times but i didnt go to their boss and get them to pay my rent instead of going to the police! In fact i didnt go to the police because i took it as a lesson learnt not to get so wasted, learn from your mistakes and move on. By waiting so long to say anything you are now destroying their family when you couldve shut it down years ago before they had children together.

Clearly the girls were looking to bag an allblack. They took drugs, they were responsible for themselves, he was just as totalled as them... I don't feel sorry for the girls at all.

It doesn't matter if he's an all black or not, or if the girl's are trying to bag a celebrity or not. It is plainly not right for anyone to have sex with someone when they are in this condition. It is rape, no question about it!

Agree with Phil, Robin Brooke's family are the only victims here. The young women seemed to specifically targeted a celebrity sportsman, drank too much and ended up having con-sensual sex, and if they are to believed, non-consensual sex with one of the party. Given that Brooke was 30 + at the time and married 7 months prior to this incident, speaks volumes about his complete lack of marital integrity, let alone a not so amazing lack of moral as this seems to permeate throughout the different celebrity fields, sports and entertainment being the most prevalent. As fame and fortune grow, morals and decency decline it seems. This affair is symptomatic of the general decline of morality in society, given the murder of the unborn, the legalizing of homosexuality and the sensationalizing of all kinds of aberrant behaviour it really should not surprise any of us that Brooke's dalliance was an ongoing affair. Pity his family though.

Everyone has personal responsibility for their actions including sports celebrities like Robin Brooke. The girls involved displayed low morals at various points but that doesn't lessen the accountability on Brooke for his lude assault. Having more opportunity than the average person to engage in this sort of behaviour should place more responsibility on the sportsmen to take the high road - particularly when they have a partner/wife at home. My sympathy in this goes to Brooke's wife and kids who must wear the humiliation that it attracts when they don't deserve it. With the incident earlier this year Brooke has shown he retains the same arrogance and absence of respect for his family, as well as for women in general. It's a sad indictment on him as an individual rather than on our elite sportsmen in general. Damn shame given the respect most of us hold/held for him as a player!
