Police continue to examine the scene of a stabbing on the Coromandel Peninsula.
A 31-year-old man remains in Auckland Hospital in a serious condition after being stabbed in the chest last night.
A 36-year-old woman, who Police believe to be his partner, has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
Police say the dispute was alcohol fuelled.
