Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee, Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda and rap group Cypress Hill were among the stars who joined the Deftones at a benefit concert in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

The musicians all took to the stage with the band in Hollywood to help raise funds for seriously ill bassist Chi Cheng, who was left in a coma following a car crash last year.

Cheng's bandmates promised to raise funds to help pay for the star's medical treatment and all their famous friends were on hand to help the cause.

Lee, Shinoda and Cypress Hill all took to the stage to perform with the Deftones at the event and the night also saw special appearances from rapper Xzibit and The Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Puciato.

The night also launched a charity auction which will give fans the chance to bid for items donated by Metallica, System Of A Down, Blink 182, Him and Slayer, according to Blabbermouth.net.
