Los Angeles parody glam metal band Steel Panther have announced they will play a New Zealand show later this year.

The Californian four-piece, who are into “girls, animal prints and girls in animal prints”, last year supported the likes of Guns n’ Roses, Def Leppard and Motley Crue.

Their latest album Balls Out includes the songs ‘It Won’t Suck Itself’, ‘17 Girls in a Row’ and ‘Just Like Tiger Woods’.

The song ‘It Won’t Suck Itself’ features vocals by the ‘Ugliest Man in Rock’ Chad Kroeger and the band has also been joined on stage by Avril Lavigne, Tom Morello, Drew Carey, Pink and Billy Ray Cyrus.

They play Auckland’s Powerstation October 2.
