He should have been in psyichiatric care. We must see this as mental illness otherwise all we do is just make the world a worse place. People filled with hatred and vengence only bring it more into society and we improve nothing. We can only improve ourselves but some need help with that. Stop with the media name calling just to stirr up peoples emotions of hate and anger, thus the cycle continues?

Would his victim's say that justice has been served? He should be in jail for life.

@David Age has nothing to do with it, the person that offended against me didn't start until he was in his late 70s and finished in his 80s. Sexual offenders do what they do cos they get off on the power, on the sexual gratification, even if it is mental gratification...
To say that he is too old to offend is a load of bollocks!!!

The people of Blenheim never called him the Beast. Why does the media persist with this cliche? Just call him Murray Wilson. We know all about him, we've heard it often enough.

Let's face it, at his age he's not likely to be able to get it up anyway. He's practically harmless.

@ I AGREE. I bet you wouldnt say that if the beast, had his way with your daughter or granddaughter. I honestly dont think he has paid enough. NZ justice system is too weak. 20 Sex crimes against 20 innocent victims. or do you think they really wanted it, ask for it, or lead him on. This man should be lined up and shot. Then i would only pray that he rot's in hell.

I don't know this man and nor do I know alot about his previous crimes but he's right you know. The media, with 3news a major culprit, are absolutely terrible to this man. You vindicate him at every opportunity, yet honestly what is this man going to do now? He's a shade of any man at this age having been locked up for so many years. Let him live the little he has of his life left in peace now hes out of jail. An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind

If he wanted to be,"just left alone" then that is "just too bad". What about his victims, He ruined there lives and now he wants peace and quiet. Na, I say lets stand outside his dwelling and torment him they way his victim's must feel. He can rest and have peace when he dies.

All those in ChCh still waiting for decent housing following the ChCh earthquakes need only go out and commit heinous sex crimes and then go into denial about their acts like "Murray" to get justice! The NZ government will care more about them than others in the community suffering from corporate (insurance company) crime and build them Kit Set houses in secure and safe environments!
