The London Olympics are less than three years away, and the locals have marked the occasion by staging the second annual sumo suit athletics world championships.
Fairly simple, competitors don oversized sumo suits for the five discipline event.
The rules stipulate competitors aren't allowed to hold up their suits, hence the arms up running action.
No world records were under threat on the track, but new championship records were set in both the high jump and the long jump.
Organisers are hoping for a bigger turn out next year, but have unfortunately ruled out adding the pole vault or triple jump to the programme.
