Naturists ready to enjoy the annual ‘go natural’ week

Naturists ready to enjoy the annual ‘go natural’ week

By Adam Ray

Drivers and everyone else can look forward to sunny weather over the long weekend and beyond.

The MetService says a high is parked over the country, bringing warm conditions that could last for a week.

The sunny weather has coincided with a group of naturists annual ‘go natural’ week.

Glenne Findon from the NZ Naturist Federation is hoping the warm weather will encourage people to strip down over the sun-soaked Labour Weekend period.

“Well it'll be great won't it? Labour Weekend's normally wet so we're really excited it’s going to be fine,” she says.

The sunshine is coming from an anticyclone drifting over the country

In Wellington it already feels like summer with people welcoming the sunny outlook after a long, wet winter.

Bob McDavitt from the MetService says much of the country will enjoy temperatures in the 20s, and the East Cape and Hawke's Bay should be warmest.

“[We are] expecting the peak temperatures to be on Sunday and Monday,” he says.

It also appears the sunny weather should stay with New Zealand up until Christmas.

Niwa says a La Nina pattern means it’ll be warmer than usual in all parts of the country

Naturism is about freedom, enjoyment, and getting in touch with yourself and the real personality in others. At first it can be an exciting or even fearful experience simply due to the mental attitude or baggage we bring with us. The negatives quickly melt away to be replaced with a wonderful feeling of acceptance of yourself and others. Enjoy our clothing free lifestyle http://www.naturistspace.org

Albert,

If everyone is supposed to be dining at the table, the television should be OFF! How can a family have any worthwhile interaction if everyone is paying more attention to the boob tube than to each other? Speaking of which, what did you expect to see on the BOOB tube?

I am very disturbed to have watched the 6pm news this evening. It was only to forecast about the coming week’s fine weather, however it contained nudity pictures, and as far as I am concern, it is absolutely inappropriate and unnecessary.
It was telecasted at a time where everyone is supposed to be dining at the table. What sort of message is TV3 trying to send across to the people??
