Hamilton police are investigating a suspected hit-and-run accident just outside of Hamilton in the Waikato.
A man’s body was found on a rural road at around 5am today.
The accident was on State Highway 1B, south of the Bellevue Rd and Marychurch intersection.
The man died on scene shortly after emergency service arrived. He has not been identified.
Traffic diversions are in place at Tauwhare Rd and at Church Rd as police investigate.
