Pictures have been released of the moment when a Swedish man was arrested for stabbing a New Zealand man to death in Thailand.

Forty-three-year-old Robert Hollick, from Upper Hutt, was treated at the scene but died on the way to the hospital.

Witnesses said Hollick was stabbed by 40-year-old Andreas Ringvall after an argument in a bar.

Ringvall and his girlfriend were held by the crowd, and then handed over to police.

I too worked with Rob for many years & he was a good friend. I loved Rob for what he was & I used to call him "My rough diamond with a heart of gold" & he would never do anyone any harm & has helped many people less fortunate than him over the years as he was a very kind & compassionate man. He will be forever in my heart & I will never ever forget him. My sincere condolences go to all of Robs family.

ms hurley i understand that u hurt and i sure hurt with you and your family! I have known andreas for 9years and it is in my world impossible to understand how he could have done something like this. He is one of the friendliest and loving man i meet and he has a heart of gold! I dont know what but something must have happend to him in the year that i havent met him (i moved my company to china) because the man i knew would never ever think about doing anything even close to this. If its drugs or mental illness i dont know but something must have happend to him!I know that it isnt much comfort but everyone that andreas knew in samui and in sweden (that i know) are deeply ashamed and confused and we all send our prayers to Roberts family and friends! Trust me we want to know how he could do this just as much as you Best regards Eric

I used to work with Rob and he was a decent sort. Certainly didn't deserve to be murdered.
