A Sydney man, facing 10 years jail for biting another man's ear off, has called his victim 'a sook'.
The attacker sank his teeth in when a brawl broke out inside a Penrith kebab shop.
Brian Mintoff was trying to calm people down when it started - an all-in brawl at Panthers Pizza and Kebab, Penrith.
As the fight spread across the store and men and women threw chairs and punches. Beau Harpley begins to trade blows with Mr Mintoff in the corner.
Seconds later, a young woman also starts swinging at Mr Mintoff just as Mr Harpley bites off part of Mr Mintoff's left ear.
He did not seem the least bit sorry about it at court.
"I keep telling you mate, I didn't bite his ear off. He's in there having a big sook and he's having a cry and he won't get over it.”
“And he's blaming me because he doesn't know what happened."
The security vision shows Mr Mintoff and his attacker tumble to the floor, before the young woman puts the boot in - Mr Mintoff feeling his ear to inspect the damage.
Outraged that part of his ear was missing, Mr Mintoff turned aggressor and it was on again.
Wild punches in all directions once more, involving men and women.
But just as they were really getting into it, Mr Mintoff's friend goes nuts as he cops a blast of pepper spray from undercover police who have stormed the kebab shop.
Then, the officers turn on the rest of the melee and like smoke into a beehive everything calms down.
"How would you feel if your ear was bitten off? Not good. Probably wouldn't be able to hear ya."
Mr Harpley definitely heard the magistrate declare him guilty today and she gave him another earful telling him he will likely go to jail when sentenced in June.
