Crockpot, or slow-cooker cooking, has been around since the 1970s. Right now it is having a revival, as younger people discover the joys of the crock pot.

Slow cooker recipe books make up two of the top five best-selling nonfiction books at the moment, and it seems Kiwis can't get enough of this convenient and economical way of cooking.

Niki Bezzant from Healthy Food Guide gives us her top tips for making crockpot food that tastes great and is good for you, too.
