A kiwi street artist is gaining international recognition for his bold use of black ink.
The Cambodian-born New Zealander known as Peap is getting spreads in American magazines and exhibiting worldwide.
Peap is unconventional, for starters he doesn't call himself a graffiti artist.
"Some people do define me as being a graffiti artist just because I paint large and on walls," he says. "It is different. It is a whole different attitude."
Peap has made a name for himself through his use of black and white. And if look closely and you'll see a common feature - the Cambodian snake, or Naga.
"In a way it represents I guess sexuality and life as well," Peap says.
Peaps is gaining international recognition, recently exhibiting in Sydney, New York and Los Angeles.
He says that while he is not chasing fame, he does want to leave his mark.
