The New Zealand men's basketball team have been pitted against Angola and Macedonia in pool play in a last-chance Olympic qualifying tournament in Venezuela in July.

The tournament comprises 12 nations, from which the top three will book places at the London Games.

The teams have been split into four pools of three, with the top two from each pool going through to the knockout stage.

World No.15 Angola are the top-ranked side in Pool D, followed by the Tall Blacks at 18, while Macedonia are at 33.

The tournament in Caracas runs from July 2-8, with the Olympics beginning on July 27.
