Darling Kate, “irrelevant garbage” is going on TV and talking about an operation, WHO GIVES A S**T?? “Irrelevant garbage” is you wasting your time replying to me in two line sentences, I PUT THAT DOWN TO YOUR LEVEL OF EDUCATION!! “Irrelevant garbage” is making a deal to have the tino rangatiratanga flag flown on a flagpole. WHAT GOOD IS THAT TO US?? If you were educated enough to actually read what I’ve written then you would be able to see that my last statement was directed at you, in reply to your little year 6 statement you directed at me. I don’t have an issue with what she does with her money. OH UNLESS THE OPERATION MAKES HER A BETTER POLITICIAN TO THE POINT SHE ACTUALLY STARTS DOING SOMETHING FOR US INSTEAD OF EATING HANGI AND ATTENDING HUI!! The lower socioeconomic group of this country is far from being “completely irrelevant garbage”. Oh unless you’re a politician Kate? And if you really feel the need to reply to everything I write then at least make sure your reply is relevant to what I have written and to whom I’ve directing the statement to. In this case, as in the last I’m directing this to you. And stop hogging this forum; you only have to post your statements once not twice. Love you bye bye

Tama, exactly what business is it of yours? It's her money and she can spend it as she wishes. No need to be so bitter and twisted - you are just ranting about completely irrelevant garbage.

Actually Kate it’s not below average it’s a majority. All you have to do is look past your own middle class life to see that the middle class standard is below average, and in fact a high percentage of middle class people are finding themselves becoming service users of mental health providers because they have never experienced hardship. They have never had the repossession/debt collector man at their door before, they have never scraped together money like they have to now to put food on the table, so it’s not about my life it’s about a high percentage of kiwis that have to live like that every day. And I don’t need an excuse to slap a politician in the face with a reality like misery, when that politician is a public figure and was put there by Maori to address Maori issues. Those issues being health care, school retention, jobs, Maori crime, Maori prison population, Maori domestic violence, Maori alcohol/drug abuse, and Maori suicide, those are the issues that need to be addressed, not some f**king flag flapping around the in the goddam wind. And they had the power to change one of those issues when they negotiated the ETS, and what did we get??? A flag!!! Like I said a flag flapping around in the wind is more important to her then hungry kiwis. So you get real Kate and open your eyes, because the average kiwis don’t have $20,000 for an operation, the reality of their misery is that they die.

Really Tama, just because your life is rather below average is no excuse to take your misery out on other people. Congratulations Tariana for doing something positive for yourself, and being public about it. All the best to you!

Good Luck Tariana You are in excellent hands with Richard Stubbs... he's GOD in my eyes....Had Fobi Pouch in July 2008 and 16 months later I know it was the BEST decision I made... you will have lots of energy to do things you wouldnt have contemplated 20 years ago. Food is no longer an issue you only eat small amounts and can walk away from food when you are full....that in its self is an achienvment.

Good on you Tariana for being open and honest about your surgery. I also had GB surgery 2 weeks ago and know you're in the best possible hands with Prof. Stubbs & his team. Kia kaha.
