Drivers from Co-Op taxis in Auckland are meeting today to discuss security concerns after a colleague was killed at the weekend.

Hiren Mohini, 39, was stabbed to death in his taxi and died later in hospital.

There have since been calls for more security for drivers, including screens and cameras in cabs.

The Transport Minister says he will meet industry representatives, but individual companies or drivers will likely have to pay for any increased security.
