New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor will appear for Victoria tomorrow as a guest player in Australian domestic cricket's Twenty20 Big Bash.
The Black Cap has been signed up to play against Queensland, where he is holidaying.
The competition-opening match will played in Brisbane.
Taylor will also be available for the Bushrangers if they qualify for the preliminary final on January 19.
His appearance for Victoria has been cleared by Central Districts and he will be back for the Central Stags in time for New Zealand's own Twenty20 competition in the New Year.
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) chief executive Justin Vaughan said the guest appearance was a great opportunity for Taylor to get another taste of top cricket.
Vaughan said NZC was comfortable about releasing the player as there was no conflict with domestic commitments.
New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori will also play in the Big Bash, joining Queensland for their match against New South Wales on January 13.
Vettori will also be available for the preliminary final should the Bulls qualify.
