Alicia seems to be at odds with the media revealing the dirt on Key and co. If there was no smoke, why call it a fire? But there was smoke....

I believe the news media have BIG problems in this country. In general leaning more and more towards a yellow type of journalism in search for high viewer ratings. Time and time again I see Sainsbury and Cambell over sensationalising events for dramatic effect. Terrible, uninformative and off topic framing of news in order to create scandal and high viewership. We hear at the moment that the teapot scandal just won't go away. But lets get real people, this is the news media pushing and pushing and pushing their scandalous/high viewership agenda down our throat. Pretty much force- feeding us relatively inconsequential ideas and information that I'm sure they hope will get us on the band-wagon for their next scandal/badly framed, show-pony news story in the wings. During this election what matters are the facts and the future of this country. I don't see the news media really considering or researching, for the NZ population, the long-term repercussions of each parties policies. It is the job of news media to do their best to conspicuosly report the facts and drum those into the homes and heads of New Zealanders. Where has the journalistic integrity in this country gone!? And how do we as a nation push to get it back!? The sensationalism in our news media reminds me of American news networks like Fox etc...It's just such a BAD, disgraceful way to be heading. And we are... Try to be conspicuously accurate in everything, pictures as well as text. Truth is not only stranger than fiction, it is more interesting. Whoever has been advising John Key on this matter needs the sack.
