As many as 50 people hit the streets of central Auckland recently armed to the teeth with mobile technology as they chased down a lost iPad.

It was all part of what ASB Bank called an ad-venture. Essentially it worked something like the Amazing Race.

Contestants were able to download pre-produced messages from a guy called Andy who had lost his iPad - one of which actually featured Keisha Castle-Hughes.

They then followed the clues until they reached the final destination, first there wins.

The idea's believed to be a digital world first
