Everyone has a story - that's what they say in Christchurch.

Some are sad stories or tragic stories, others are tales of woe, frustration. Others still are more uplifting - a close call, or what might have been.

Emily Cooper has a story a bit like that.

Since February 22nd she's been reporting on the aftermath, and telling other people's stories.

Campbell Live reporter Jendy Harper works alongside Emily in the Mediaworks temporary offices in Addington.

She travelled with Emily into the red zone, and she's watched on admiringly as a talented journalist - a confident and courageous young lady - strives to build a career from the ashes in memory of her colleagues who cannot.

Watch Emily’s story.

i truly believe that its the parents reseponsible to feed their kids and provide even the basics, my child goes to wesley, and has breakfast at home! but when i was a kid born and breed in nz, but us six kids would have good breakfast meal everymorning, but the school said that we shouuld have another breakfast meal, so no matter how many times we told them, so then i'd realised maybe its because we lived in a very low income area at the time...something to think about!
