Auckland’s Tepid Baths have been shut down today after a large chlorine spill.

The area has been cordoned off by the Fire Service as the incident is taken care of.

3 News iWitness Alex submitted these photos of firefighters working to clean up the spill.

Around 70 people had to be evacuated after 50 litres of chlorine spilled from a 2000 litre container.

The accident comes just a week after the historic Tepid Baths reopened from $16 million renovations.
