C'mon folks John is great he can out stutter Sainsbury any day.
I found this piece really embarrassing to watch. The reporter made a real idiot of himself and I think Terry behaved really professsionally and managed to refrain from blowing his top at the guy. He has clearly had a bit more media training and experience than the interviewee who appeared in the segment just before him!!It's a well known fact that business people, especially in property, will put off paying rates etc for as long as legally possible so that the cash in the bank, from sales etc, has a chance to earn more in interest. He's not breaking the law so who cares! Also, NZ is waaay too small for the media to think they can go all paparazzi on these people. They'll end up with noone to interview, lol
What's wrong with the reporting? That's what the media is for isn't it; asking the hard questions? The reporter was polite. The critics are being silly. I for one see the irony of the presenter of a crap American styled "business" show being in trouble financially. If he is to presume to find others publically wanting as business leaders he should answer to his own business affairs in public.
That is absolutely ridiculous. It is probably no wonder that Campbell Live are always complaining people won't come on their show. No one would if thats how you operate and approach people. He was at the airport about to go through customs. What a scummy piece of reporting. Take a look at yourselves!!
Campbell Live needs to re-think their strategy. As a previous supporter of your progam, I thought the show was an advocate of our national assets, and the preservation of them. I think at the very least a public apology is called for. Maybe then you will restore our faith in your progam.
I also thought the piece on Terry last night was poor journalism. The 'reporter' who stalked Terry into the line was cheesy and lowered your show to nothing more than a tabloid. I have to stress that the reporter annoyed me so much I have come to this site to write something about it. He wasn't smart enough to be a bully, he was nothing but an annoying little jerk. I don't know anything about Terry, but live in Wellington and do believe his contribution here lends some weight to him being given a chance or two. Your story was embarrassing, and coupled with the story on Bob, lowered my opinion greatly on your show.
All this harasement over a rates bill? - I think not. Very unprofessional to the TV3 crew - seriously the guy got an extension on paying his rates(within WCC policy/guidelines) & TV3 thinks this is some sort of news scoop so-much-so that they have to hound the guy. Come on John/TV3, lets see some real news of relavance, not this childish unprofessional bullying. As a viewer, I think this is actually TV3 trying to drag down the success of a rival networks show ('The Apprentice') & thats typical of TV3 who after 20 years on air still havent grow up. You guys have overstepped the mark & Terry Serepisos should call the interview off.
Well done John Campbell and all your crew for for trying to get a story about this guy..If he had nothing to hide he'd be more than happy to make a statement, and to the people that think the sun shines out of Terrys butt there blind to the type of person he really is..Keep digging into this guys and i'm sure you'll uncover a massive amount of very dark secrets this clown is hiding..
John Campbell and his clones are so unprofessional and downright nasty human beings, is this what nobody journalists resort to nowadays, how pathetic, growup john and act your age
Terry (or should I say Mr Serepisos as he likes to be called) can not play both sides of the fence by holding himself up as a businessman who can provide advice to NZders and yet run his own operations with unpaid debts. Good on the show for calling him on this.
