The Campaign review

3News NZ

By Kate Rodger

An R-rated comedy mining the American political process and its politicians, The Campaign is timed perfectly for the US election year.

Will Ferrell is incumbent congressman Cam Brady who finds his smooth ride into congress under threat from Galifinakis in fruity form as Marty Huggins.

The campaign shenanigans get very messy very quickly.

Skewing more to the blokes, I found myself marginally entertained for the most part, but the campaign was mostly more miss than hit for me.

Two and a half stars.
