Actor Jesse Eisenberg has been mistaken for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg at the gold medal basketball match between USA and Spain.

Eisenberg, who portrayed Zuckerberg in David Fincher's film The Social Network, was in the crowd with a friend when the camera focused on them.

NBC commentator Bob Fitzgerald, on seeing the couple, said: "I know I’m gonna put that picture on Facebook. We’ve got every executive of note worldwide, it seems, attending these games."

Strangely enough, the antagonists of The Social Network, the Winklevoss twins – who sued Facebook, claiming Zuckerberg stole their idea –actually competed at the Beijing Olympics.
