New Zealand's ‘Kings of the Ring’ fight night was all about the super heavies of Kiwi kick boxing.

It's the brain-child of six-time former world champ Jason ‘Psycho’ Suttie who invited eight warriors weighing between 100 and 130kgs to see who was the best of the best in a last man standing format.

To be crowned ‘King of the Ring’ the champion had to win three fights in the space of three hours.

In the first quarter final Aucklander Paulo ‘The Barbarian’ Lakai just pummelled Rotorua's Thomas Peato.

And Lakai was just as devastating in the first semi final against Nato La'auli .

On the other side of the draw was another South Auckland big bopper Tafa ‘The Thumpa’ Misipati, who demonstrated his knock out power in the second semi against Mika Maliefulu.

So to the main event, Lakai against Misipati, and he wasn't going to miss this party.

The final was all over inside 53 seconds. Misipati's winner's purse was $7,000.
