Tomorrow night, the Prime Minister will attend the opening of an art exhibition with a real difference.

The artists are familiar – Colin McCahon, Ralph Hotere, Toss Woolaston – but the venue is a bit special.

It is One Tree College in Auckland – formerly known as Penrose High.

And it is not just the venue for this multi-million dollar collection – they own it too and have done so for decades.

Tomorrow they are celebrating the fact that every single painting is on display.

Campbell Live finds out just how a low-decile state school amassed such a great art collection.
