In this digital age, books are seen as under threat and a medium that could slowly disappear.
However this year’s NZ Post book awards have highlighted the strength of the printed page.
Paula Green was a judge at the awards, and says there is an increasing demand for books that are highly produced with intricate art and photographs.
Ms Green says that books about history are also becoming more popular.
