On Monday the Children's Commissioner will release a sobering report on the state of child poverty in New Zealand.
Among the findings is that poverty in New Zealand is getting worse - much worse. It is a time bomb set to cost our country enormously in future years.
Commissioner Russell Wills put the report together independently because he sees poverty as one of the great issues facing New Zealand.
