The week in Australia

By Australia correspondent Rachel Morton

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced this week Australia will carry out a Royal Commission of Inquiry into child abuse.

Also this week Channel Ten announced it would axe Breakfast, which was hosted by New Zealander Paul Henry.

And there was a partial solar eclipse this week in New Zealand on Wednesday, but it was even more spectacular in Australia.

Every week Rachel Morton will speak to Firstline about the week that was in Australia.
