Being a parent is a tough job. You worry if your child is happy, you worry if they are doing too much or not enough.

Well what about the idea that lazy parents make happier families?

It is the brainchild of a British writer Tom Hodgkinson, who penned The Idle Parent, who encourages a completely hands off approach to parenting. He says instead of organised sport and classes after school, you should just leave them out in the garden.

Helen Vaughan has found a family to test this unusual parenting style on.
