Thousands still homeless 2 years after Haiti 7.0 quake

It has been two years since the magnitude 7 earthquake which devastated Haiti.

Over 300,000 people died in the disaster and many more lost their homes.

Since then there has been some progress with rebuilding but hundreds of thousands of Haitians are still waiting for a permanent new home.

The saddest aspect of the Haiti disaster is that relief funds poured into the country, only to be pocketed by corrupt officials and businessmen.Before the earthquake it was renowned for its corruption yet money and goods were sent. Nothing has changed, the bulk of the people live in squalor whilst the few live in luxury.
