Thursday 06 Dec 2012 12:40p.m.

Three Breakers in NBL All-Star game

Three New Zealand Breakers players will compete in the National Basketball League All-Star game in Adelaide this month.

Guard Cedric Jackson and forward Tom Abercrombie won enough votes to be included in the starting five for the South All-Stars team, while forward Mika Vukona is on the bench.

Jackson finished second-highest in the selection process, earning 1125 fan votes.

That was topped by Cairns Taipan centre Cameron Tragardh, who received 1401 votes to earn a starting berth for the North All-Stars in the match on December 22.

American import Jackson has been in superb form for the NBL-leading Breakers, who have begun the season with eight wins from 10 matches in pursuit of a second-straight title.

Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis will coach the South All-Stars.

All-Star starting fives:

North All-Stars: Cameron Tragardh (Cairns Taipans, 1401 votes), Ben Madgen (Sydney Kings, 863), Adris Deleon (Wollongong Hawks, 856), Darnell Lazare (Sydney Kings, 740), Oscar Forman (Wollongong Hawks, 663)

South All-Stars: Cedric Jackson (NZ Breakers, 1125), Kevin Lisch (Perth Wildcats, 1008), Tom Abercrombie (NZ Breakers, 960), Seth Scott (Melbourne Tigers, 881), Daniel Johnson (Adelaide 36ers, 650).
